Year 2067. Humanity is collapsing. The world is furrowed by the scars of a decade long war that has redefined the global Geo-political structure. The states, as we know them, have disappeared, replaced by continental superpowers and commercial oligarchies. Despite an unstoppable technological drift, the space colonization remains a utopia. Mankind is chained on a dying planet where aseptic urban hives survive, encircled in infected lands full of marauders, mutated beasts, pandemics and radiation. During excavation operations in the former Jordan, in ancient ruins that have long been buried, an Oztar is discovered, an ancient machine in which the spirit of a Kerubim, an ancestral race – known to man through the centuries and in different forms – that once inhabited Assiah, our world. HERE YOUR ADVENTURE STARTS! In Kerubim – Battle for Assiah you will play as a team of "chosen ones" which, guided by the wisdom of the Kerubim, will try to unravel the mystery of human origins and find hope beyond this world. Against them, the mysterious Gavriel who for millennia have been acting in the shadows pulling the strings of human history.
WHAT IS, THEREFORE, NEW? The setting, first of all. We wanted to move away from the classic canons of fantasy and science fiction, mixing the cyberpunk/post-apocalyptic context with the Western mysticism, Judaeo-Christian esotericism and the cryptoarcheological theories. The world of Kerubim is not only the background for the game but, for those who want to know more about it, it becomes an integral part of the game. The characters are not just pawns or numbers on a card, but they have their own morality, character, ideals and precise goals. Some may, for example, refuse to participate in a particular mission; or their presence or not could change the progress or objectives. The story, in the campaign mode, is not limited to a small opening or closing paragraph, but it's actively inserted into the game through dynamics that mix the board game with game books or interactive novels. The choices made during each game, or between one game and another, will modify the subsequent missions, unlocking new ones, precluding others or modifying their progression, as well as the ending. Making every campaign unique. • Two different fully collaborative game modes. A campaign mode for 1-4 players. An exploration mode extended up to 6 players. An additional competitive mode for 2-6 players will eventually be unlocked during the kickstarter campaign. Over 20 missions in campaign mode, with multiple and non-linear objectives, in which the choices of the players will have a strong impact on the events and on the development of the story. A research, resource management and equipment creation system. 6 main characters, each with unique abilities that can be upgraded and customized, as well as their own character and a moral that will have a weight in the adventure. More than 30 Kerubim to discover, each with strengths and weaknesses, which will act in synergy with the characters, increasing their abilities or guaranteeing them new powers. A tactical combat system, which involves the interaction between the roles of the various characters.
Kerubim: Battle for Assiah is a fully cooperative table-top role-playing game for 1 to 6 players. Inspired by western mysticism and ancient sacred texts, Kerubim offers a deep and articulated story with more than  20 playable scenarios, in which the player's choices will have a strong impact on the events.
